No matter how I word it, every time I search for "feeling lonely when not alone" the results are mental health and suicide prevention organizations. This is probably good search engine optimization on the whole, but I'm thinking more of the particular condition of large multicultural cities like New York. Since at least Baudelaire, people have been thinking about the phenomenon of intimate strangers and familiarity to people we don't know can impact and dominate our worlds. Meet Me Halfway addresses people as both islands and the sea that surrounds them.
